Axeptio alternative: pricing, volumes and features compared

Article illustration: Axeptio alternative: pricing, volumes and features compared

Axeptio is one of the best-known French consent management platforms (CMPs). If you are thinking of leaving it, or simply want to compare before committing, this article sets its public offers side by side with ours, those of Consenteer, without glossing over the areas where Axeptio is better equipped.

Transparency first: we publish Consenteer, which appears in this comparison. The information on Axeptio comes from its public pricing page, checked on November 5, 2026. That page shows no update date and does not say whether its prices are excl. VAT or incl. VAT: always check the vendor's site before deciding.

Axeptio's plans at a glance

PlanPriceIncluded volumeDomains
Free0 €200 visitors /month1
Extra Small7.50 €/month (annual) or 90 €/year2,500 page views /month1
Small29 €/month5,000 page views /month1
Medium69 €/month100,000 page views /month1
Large129 €/month500,000 page views /month1 + subdomains
Enterprise, AgencyOn quoteOn quoteUnlimited

Two remarks on this grid. First, the page mixes "page views" and "unique visitors" in places: volumes should be confirmed with the vendor. Second, each plan covers one domain; beyond that, you must move to the on-quote plans or multiply subscriptions.

What this looks like for several sites

This is where the models diverge the most. Take a company with three sites.

AxeptioConsenteer
Entry paid planSmall, 29 €/monthStarter, €9/month excl. VAT
Sites covered1 domain per plan3 sites
Volume5,000 page views /month50,000 page views /month, per site (150,000 in total)
For 3 sitesThree Small plans, i.e. 87 €/month for 15,000 page views in total€9/month excl. VAT

Axeptio's calculation assumes one subscription per domain, which the page indicates ("1 domain" per plan). The displayed prices do not specify their tax regime, so the comparison is indicative.

With us, a page view is one load of the banner, like the page views of an audience measurement tool. The quota applies to each site, subdomains are included (boutique.exemple.com is covered by exemple.com), and we never cut the banner off when you exceed it: you are alerted, and nothing is interrupted.

Where Axeptio is ahead

An honest comparison must also name what we do not offer yet, or not at the same level:

  • IAB TCF. Axeptio offers it from the Small plan. On our side, it is planned as an option of the Pro plan, but we have not delivered it yet. If you run programmatic advertising, this is a decisive criterion, and for now Axeptio meets it better than we do.
  • API and mobile SDK. Axeptio offers them on Enterprise. Our API is planned for the Enterprise plan, but it is not yet available, and we have not announced a mobile SDK to date.
  • Other Axeptio modules. Contextual consent wall, analytics connectors, Microsoft UET Consent Mode: we do not offer them today.
  • CMS integrations. Axeptio advertises eight CMS plugins in its Agency plan (WordPress, Shopify, PrestaShop...). On our side, we have an official WordPress extension; for other platforms, installation goes through the snippet.

What sets us apart

  • Several sites per plan, with a quota per site rather than per billed domain.
  • The full compliance foundation from the free plan: banner editor, Consent Mode v2, GPC signal, automatic blocking of third-party scripts, consent log with CSV export, cookie scanner.
  • Hosting in Europe, with no data leakage to third parties: no Google Fonts, geolocation computed on our servers, IP addresses never stored in clear text.
  • Clearly displayed prices excluding taxes, with online payment and cancellation at the end of the paid period.

Switching CMP: how to go about it

  1. Export your history first. Your consent register is your proof under Article 7 of the GDPR. Ask your current vendor how to extract it before canceling, and keep it.
  2. Scan your site. The cookie scanner lists what your site actually sets, which avoids reproducing an outdated configuration as is.
  3. Recreate the banner. Colors, texts and languages are configured from the dashboard.
  4. Replace the snippet with ours (or install the WordPress extension), then check in a private browsing window that no tracker is set before your choice.
  5. Cancel the old subscription once the new banner is validated, so as not to leave two CMPs active at the same time.

How to choose

Axeptio remains a good choice if you need TCF, a mobile SDK or a contextual consent wall. We are a better fit if you manage several sites, if you want a clear per-site price and if the compliance foundation must be included without tiers. To widen the comparison to other vendors, see our CMP comparison.

The data on Axeptio comes from its public page on the date indicated and may change; it is neither legal advice nor an assessment of the compliance of either service.
